Under the direction of the Teen Center Program Coordinator the Media Lab Engineer will provide audio recording and engineering services to rental customers and performers in the recording studio and live performance space. Must be aware of and abide by general safety protocols and standard studio practices.
By day it was a YMCA day-care center, complete with cutouts of the alphabet on the walls. By night it was filled with hundreds of teens When the Old Firehouse Teen Center celebrates its 15th birthday today and Saturday, the party will be like a class reunion.

This place was a huge part of my formative years in music. I'm really grateful that the city cared enough to invest in a program supportive to art and young artists and allow a Teen Center and All Ages Venue like The Old Firehouse to exist. I'm also really grateful to people like Kate Becker, who's vision, hard work, and dedication kept that place alive back then.

Equally as valuable to understanding why OFH matters so much is the people who were there experiencing these shows. When something is described as "life-changing," it's often thought to be superlative.

A typical day involves after-school drop-in activities in sports, arts, music, cooking and cultural events, many created and led by teens. Celebrating its 25 th anniversary inthis is the longest standing event center, host to hundreds of concerts annually.
